Stone Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Tony O’Deay as an MES Engineer/Analyst. His background in manufacturing operations, instrumentation and controls, and experience in PI integration with plant process information and automation systems will be a strong addition to Stone’s MES staff.
Tony has spent the last four years mainly focused on PI system administration and data integration in the chemical and semiconductor industries. He utilizes his knowledge of manufacturing operations and the PI system to deliver results to his customers.
Tony started his career as a Lab Technician and Production Operator at Dow Corning in Midland, MI. He then moved into the Instrumentation and Electrical trades for 7 years before joining the global manufacturing automation group in 2012 as a PI Administrator. He took over PI administration duties for several sites as other PI Admins moved to different roles. In 2015 Tony also took on developing and supporting .NET manufacturing applications at Hemlock Semiconductor LLC in Hemlock, MI. The applications utilized data from PI, process control systems, Sample Manager, and SAP to provide automated solutions for manufacturing operations and quality control. He will further his PI integration skillset with Stone Technologies through more exposure to different customers.
Tony holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Davenport University and is an Instrumentation journeyman. He is a resident of Freeland, MI and in his spare time enjoys coaching, camping, and spending time with his family.
